I need help with Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)

Does anybody know why Amazon KDP still generated a Table of Contents even when I already included a Contents page in my manuscript?

I want to upload a newer version of my book, with the Contents page included (not the one generated by KDP). However, after uploading the newer version, I checked a preview of the manuscript and saw that KDP still generated a Table of Contents. The Contents page of my manuscript, which I created and included, was empty.

I am not sure what to do. The manuscript I uploaded was an epub version. I have been looking for answers all over the internet, but found none. So if you have any suggestions on how to address the issue, please let me know via writtenbysahara@gmail.com. I appreciate the help!
