About Sahara

Sahara Piang is the founder and owner of Book Store at 9506, the first independent bookstore in the City of Koronadal, Philippines, and the author of When Poetry Becomes You. Her poem, Shifting Our Gaze, is featured in Brave New Words Vol. 1, an anthology published by the Paper Trail Projects. Her flash fiction, The Room, appeared in the April 2024 issue of the Philippines Graphic Reader.

 

She has previously authored and co-authored academic pieces, including internationally peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers, government reports, technology primers, and commentaries on policy forum and news websites, and also had a brief stint as a consultant for a Manila-based international non-governmental organization.

Her interests besides books are music, languages, travel, art, and origami.
